We are looking for a strong business development professional to help us build long-term relationships with local businesses and sell our services to decision makers at such businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Build long-term relationships with decision makers at local businesses via e-mail telephone, in-person visits, and networking
  • Locate, develop, define and negotiate new business opportunities
  • Recruit new clients (the company will provide a list of leads)
  • Onboard newly signed clients
  • Work with the in-house team to deliver clients’ projects
  • Sell additional products/services to existing clients
  • Act as the main point-of-contact for clients
  • Represent the company at local networking events
  • Assist with any marketing projects as proposed by company management.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of and passion for professional selling
  • Strong verbal, written and nonverbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn new ideas, skills and technologies
  • Commitment to quality and punctuality
  • High level of emotional intelligence and empathy
  • Interest in online marketing
  • Ability to drive to events and appointments with clients
  • Appreciation of the local business community

Professional Experience

  • At least five (5) years of professional sales
  • Telemarketing does not count
  • Professional office setting work experience
  • This is not required, but professional sales experience at a marketing agency is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (We are open to interviewing candidates who are currently working toward a bachelor’s degree.)
  • This is not required, but professional sales courses/training would be a plus.

Compensation

  • Commission + hourly base
  • Based on the selected candidate’s skills and experience

Work Schedule

  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday
  • Work schedule will vary during some days to accommodate for various networking events and other business development opportunities
  • All schedule variations will be scheduled in advance and must be approved by management
